It has been just over a month now since our precious Jackson passed away. Our hearts are on a roller coaster, but we are managing to pick each other up and carry on. The funeral was beautiful and so many of our family and friends attended, over 1,200 was the estimate. We have received so many cards and words of encouragement that it is overwhelming. We can't tell you how helpful you have all been. We have had so many people tell us that Jackson truly touched their hearts and in many cases changed their lives. I know that personally every time a question of right or wrong comes up, I think of Jackson and what he would want me to do. In many cases, it is ethics over convenience, and that is the way it was for him. We have been camping and very busy with little league, with Jackson on the fore front of our minds always. We miss him more than words can describe and continually go from understanding to frustration. Wyatt is doing good during the day and has a rough time at bed time each night.
A local group is working on a wonderful project for Jackson, in his memory. They want to call it Jackson Baldwin Falls, it would be a park a beautiful park right below the Red Lion Hotel with a waterfall and wishing well. We will get a picture of the rough draft soon. I know that Jackson would be honored and asked what he thought, he would have a sheepish smile and a twinkle in his eyes, and would have said, "I really like it and I reallly want to thank everybody". |
